Meet Will
A Fighter. A True Floridian. Your Voice for a better St John's County.
Born and raised in Florida, Will McMullan believes in lower taxes, responsible growth, and government that works for the people, not the other way round.
It's time for leadership that protects our quality of life and delivers real results for the people of the county, not the big developers.
A Bold Vision for a Better St John's County
Bringing Real Transparency and Accountability to our County
I believe public servants should serve the people who elected them, not special interests, or corporations. I believe government works best when those in charge know somebody is watching and will hold them to account. We need full transparency and accountability, not back room deals that sell out our county and hurt its residents. I plan to build a publicly available, free to access, searchable online database that shows how every single dollar is spent.
Eliminating Waste, Fraud, and Abuse
Our county’s budget has never been higher, but have you seen any benefit? Our roads remain inadequate for the infrastructure that’s been approved and developed. What was once a 15 minute commute can now take over an hour. We need a DOGE-style audit of the county’s accounts to identify and eliminate waste, fraud and abuse. Either give money back to the people of St John’s County or allocate it to funding infrastructure or projects that make people’s lives better.
Reforming our Tax Code
Affordability is the number one concern for too many people in this county, and while our representatives in Tallahassee have talked a good game, they’ve not done anything yet. I firmly believe that nobody should have to choose between being able to live and paying their property taxes. We need tax reform now: let’s freeze tax rates at the level they are when someone homesteads their home. I also want to eliminate property taxes for those over 65.
Making St John’s County Beautiful Again
They may have paved some of paradise and put up a parking lot, but it’s not too late to save our county from seemingly never-ending development. We must stop letting developers throw up cheap, soulless cubes while clearcutting thousands of acres across our beautiful county. If we are to have growth and development, we need architecture that reflects the culture and natural beauty of our surroundings. Our quality of life must be preserved. Let’s prioritize and protect what makes St John’s a great place to live, not the pocketbooks and balance sheets of big developers.
